Relationships end for a lot of reasons. No matter what the reason, the loss can be devastating. Despite the pain of the lost relationship, eventually you’ll want to re-enter the dating scene. The trick is knowing when to you are ready to start dating again. While there is no magic formula or time frame that works for everyone, you’ll know you’re ready to start dating when you can have successfully completed grieving and inventoried your last relationship.

Period of Grieving is Over

Even if you initiated the breakup, a period of grieving ensues. If you’re still feeling angry and continue to harbor bitterness over the failed relationship, you’re not ready to start a relationship. Anger and bitterness are part of the grieving process. Once you can talk about your relationship without anger and accept your portion of blame for the failed relationship, you’re ready to move on.

Take a Relationship Inventory

Spend some time reflecting on your past relationship. What were the things that you liked the best? What were the things that drove you crazy? In an ideal world, what would you want from a new relationship? Once you know these answers, then look at what you bring to a relationship. Knowing your strengths and what you want for the future helps you create a map into a new relationship and is a sure sign you’re ready to move on. If you need some help getting started with an inventory many online dating sites offer them.

Enter the Scene Slowly

The only way to know for sure if you’re ready is to test the waters. Perhaps the easiest way is to visit an online dating site. Not only can you see a wider pool of possible dating partners but online dating sites allow you to email and instant message dating partners until you feel comfortable with meeting them in person.

Getting a bachelor degree used to mean spending years in a classroom, studying at home, and researching in a library. Today, that has all changed. It is now possible to earn your bachelor degree from the comfort of just about anywhere, by studying online. Online classes have become so popular that they have effectively changed the entire college culture and experience. Today, more students are incorporating online classes into their lifestyle.

Making Time For Studying

Anyone who is working towards their bachelor degree knows how important it is to find the time to study. Those who are studying online must take this a step further by finding time to do classwork, watch lectures, perform research, and other tasks as assigned by the professor. It takes dedication and commitment to avoid falling into the ‘I can do it later’ trap. Try setting aside a few hours several times a week to dedicate to your online studying.

Learn Learning Styles

Everybody learns in a different way. Online learning relies on a specific set of learning styles in order to be effective. Those who hope to create a learning lifestyle based on online learning must develop the ability to learn visually. Earning an online bachelor degree will be easier for those who learn to process visually instead of relying on audible learning.

Earning your bachelor degree online can be effective, if you are willing to develop a lifestyle that is conducive to online learning. Organize your time and work on visual learning skills to be effective.

Did you know that the number of adult learners going back to college is in the millions? Some colleges even boast an average age of people in their 30′s. Mind you, this is the average; meaning that there are plenty of older students getting a degree for the first time. If you have ever thought of going back to college but thought you were too old; think again.

It is intimidating going back to school after having been out for so many years. Maybe you have children that are now grown or perhaps you simply want to advance your career. No matter what the reason is that compels you to re-enter college, it can be one of the most rewarding decisions you ever make.

The first thing to do is the see what all you need such as transcripts from high school and placement tests. The placement tests will show you which areas you need to catch up on and you may be surprised to see that you score higher than you thought you would.

Don’t feel that you will be left out or won’t feel welcome either. Since the average age is in the 30′s, this means there will be plenty of students near your age and even older. You may even get along just fine with the students younger than you as well. The point is that you are there to learn, enjoy the college experience and further your career so don’t worry about fitting in because there are plenty of others just like you.

Some men buy sports cars or take up with much younger women. Some women visit the plastic surgeon or start shopping at Forever 21. It is natural to try and recapture your youth as you age but it is wiser to step back and appreciate where you are instead of wishing for what was.

As we age, we become more aware of our mortality. It may be watching your parents get older and the problems that accompany it. It could be seeing your children grow into adults themselves and go off on their own. There are a number of things that can trigger a mid-life crisis and it can test the strongest relationships. Since there is no fountain of youth, we must come to grips with getting older.

One certain way to counter the effects of aging is exercise. Physical activity has been shown to prolong life and make the later years much more enjoyable. Getting older is tough enough but it becomes even more difficult if you enter your golden years in failing health. You not only won’t feel well but you will face the added stress of paying for doctor visits and prescription medication. Feeling good physically also promotes better mental health.

Depression is one of the most common ailments of people as they reach their forties or fifties. The pressures of daily life can wear on all of us from time to time but it gets even more difficult when faced with questions about retirement savings and health insurance coverage. Planning ahead can alleviate some of these worries and make the transition much easier.

You want a place that is safe, affordable and offers many opportunities for family fun. Every year, newspapers and magazines come up with lists of the best places to raise kids in America and there are a few cities that seem to appear on every one. Places like Des Moines, Syracuse and even Pittsburgh always seem to win out over their much bigger competitors like New York or L.A.

Affordable housing is one of the factors that helps places like Pittsburgh edge ahead of the bigger metropolitan areas. Crime is another category where a place like Des Moines has it all over New York or Chicago. Convenience is another factor and that is why you will find Syracuse on many lists. The average commute is about five minutes which means more time at home to spend with the kids. Ideas for building stronger family relationships can be found at sussa.org.

One location that has been making a real surge in recent years is Louisville, Kentucky. Parenting Magazine recently put the town in the top ten of places to live with kids. Entertainment options and great parks were two of the reasons cited for why Louisville is a good choice. Washington D.C. was number one on the Parenting Magazine list because of a strong school system and the abundance of museums.

Choices about relocating a family can pose great challenges. The decision can become easier if you know you are moving into an area where your children will be safe and have excellent opportunities for growth. It is also nice to know that there will be plenty of opportunities for family fun.

The cost of higher education continues to soar and it seems like everyone knows somebody who graduated from college with their degree but has been unable to find a job. A growing number of young people have been forced to move back home after college because they are not able to support themselves, raising the question is a college degree really worth it?

Research from the College Board confirms that a college degree puts people on the path to a better paying career. On average across the United States, college grads make 60% more than their counterparts who only have a high school diploma. Even when you factor in the cost of taking out loans to pay tuition, the financial rewards are clear. The careers are also more fulfilling. According to research, college degrees put graduates in a position to compete for jobs that they could not have qualified for otherwise.

Where college students get themselves into trouble is in picking a major that makes it difficult to find work after graduation. Sussa.org follows trends in education and finds that those who concentrate their studies in areas of math and science will find the best job opportunities when they get out and are also paid the best of new college grads.

A recent Georgetown University study reveals that a college degree is still worth pursuing and lists engineering majors at the top of their list of financially rewarding careers. These majors the study finds will make 300% more over their lifetime than those who studied in non-technical fields. The number one job in demand in the past year was software engineer.

Cultural clothing lines are some of the most popular options on the market in some parts of the world. Walk into any clothing store in the United States, though, and chances are you will find clothing options with limited cultural style. How can this be?
Instead of choosing clothing options that are okay for just about any need or style, consider adding more culture to the clothing you select. The good news is that there are fantastic options to consider already available.

Perhaps you enjoy the bright colors and beautiful flowing garments that make Indian clothing so valuable. Clothing from India tends to be rich in luxurious materials, too.

For those after something more urban, consider clothing from designers like LRG clothes. The company focuses on true urban clothing style, which fits a variety of cultures.

Consider your own heritage. How has clothing appeared in your family? What specific types of clothing styles have become important within your culture, no matter where you are in the world?

Explore the ways you can be more expressive in your clothing selection. By doing this, you may be able to explore new looks and become more true to yourself. Find out what your cultural clothing history is and explore it.

While many people just wear what is in style or fashionable for the time being, others are more interested in using clothing as an expression. Find out how you can make clothing more meaningful to your life by learning about the various options and styles out there. You may be surprised by how many fun ways you can add culture to clothing.

Americans have used credit cards for years, though the prepaid cards may have features that you may not realize. If you have never learned about the benefits of the prepaid visa cards, then you should familiarize yourself with these great inventions.

You can simply add money to your prepaid reach visa card and it will be readily available for shopping, bill paying and ATM withdrawal. Shop and save money on purchases by spending wiser than with traditional credit cards. Studies show that when you have a limited amount of funds available, you will find ways to make your dollar stretch farther than when you have an unlimited amount.

Shopping with traditional credit cards can get many consumers in financial trouble from excessive spending on items. Also, the interest continues to build as you try your best to pay down the monthly balances. The prepaid card does not charge you those enormous fees; in fact, there is just a small monthly charge for using this great card.

Free is always good, right? When you choose the prepaid reach visa card you can get direct deposit, pay bills, transfer money and cash your paychecks without any additional charges. Most credit cards have fees attached with these services, but with this card, none of those fees will be charged.

One of the most popular features among all of the above is the fact that the prepaid card requires no credit check. It is an essential bonus for those individuals that have endured unfortunate circumstances with their previous credit. There is no need to have a checking account either, when you use the prepaid card.

For the first time since researchers have kept track, married couples no longer make up the majority in America. The total has slipped below 50% according to the U.S. Census Department. The latest figures reveal that 50.3% of all households in America are headed up by an unmarried person.

Image via Wikipedia

There are a number of factors suspected in the decline of marriage. The poor economy has resulted in more break ups as couples fight over money. There is an abundance of same sex unions that are impacting the marriage totals. There is also a growing acceptance of men and women living together out of wedlock. Couples disillusioned by marriage for whatever reason would rather live together without the permanent commitment.

It is amazing to look at the statistics and see how things have changed in America over the past 60 years. In 1950, the percentage of households headed up by someone who was married was 78%. By 1980, the percentage slipped to around 60% and was at 50% by the year 2000. Some say the decline can be directly linked to sexual revolution of the seventies while others cite racial and ethnic diversity. You can track a wide variety of lifestyle changes at sussa.org.

There are socio-economic reasons behind the decline as well. The research shows that people who have higher education degrees are more likley to get married and stay married. At the same time, women who only completed high school are more likely to stay single and raise children on their own. The experts doubt that marriage will make a rebound and look for the decline to continue.

You’ve decided on an online education, but you still have a few questions about the whole experience. What can you really expect?

This list should help:

Accreditation. As with most traditional avenues of education, expect that all of your work will count for something in the business world. Your degree will count.

Great instructors. Online instructors have to have what it takes to teach; they don’t have you sitting before them in a class, so their perception of you and what you can do has to be right on, even if you never personally meet. These same instructors must be organized while maintaining a fun and engaging class.

Hard work. The online courses you take may be even harder than traditional learning. This is good. There is no slacking, especially in the classes offered online. Because you aren’t in a class daily hearing instruction, more focus is naturally put on the work you will be sending back online.

Opportunities to try your hand in the technical arena. Because everything is online, you will need to know more about communicating information of the giving and receiving of assignments than you would in a traditional setting.

Days spent in your pajamas. No need to get dressed, drive to school, park your car, and end your day by returning the opposite way. Save time and money by attending school online.

Get the education you need online without losing a dime. Get the education you want and need on your own time. What could be more splendid?
